(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Hujjat ul Islam wal Muslaimeen Syed Mehdi Taqvi the head of organization for the Quranic activities of Iranian students said about the timing of these competitions that it has been decided on the basis of organized planning that the programs in accordance with the birth anniversary of Imam Raza (A.S) will be organized in the last week of September.
He, while pointing towards the organization of these programs in Najaf-e-Ashraf city, said that since the beginning, the policy making council has emphasized upon the need of organizing the Quranic competitions for Muslim students in various countries and it has been concluded after reviewing the applications from countries like Lebanon, Syria, Pakistan and Iraq, because Najaf has been declared as the capital of Islamic culture, therefore these programs are being organized in this holy city.
Hujjat ul Islam Taqvi added that as the Holy sanctuary of Imam Ali (A.S) is in Najaf Ashraf which carries great importance to Shiites, Sunnites, intellectuals and scholars of the world, therefore this city is best for the organizing the competitions of Islamic students. After reconciliation with Iraqi officials, it has been decided that these competitions should be organized in Najaf-e-Ashraf city.
